Convergent
Boundaries
Convergent boundaries form where two or more plates are being pushed together. These boundaries can be between two oceanic plates, an oceanic plate and a continental plate, or two continental plates.

Subduction zones form as a result of one plate being forced beneath the other. The largest earthquakes occur at this type of boundary. Volcanoes form as a result of the magma being generated during subduction of a plate.
