Glacial Calving Event
Glacial calving is the breaking off of chunks of ice at the edge of a glacier. Most glaciers terminate at lakes or oceans.

When the ice breaks and hits the water, vibrations are passed through the water into the ground where they can be recorded on seismometers.

This is the signal from a glacial calving event in southern Alaska.
