Files for the Ocean Drilling Program Hole 504B Vertical Seismic Profiles (VSP).

  This data set has SEGY files from the Ocean Drilling Program Hole 504B VSPs.  These VSPs are from 
ODP Leg 111 and 148.  There is a directory of the SEGY files.  The directory plots also has figures of 
the SEGY files.  There is also a directory of documentation for these data.

  The Legs 111 and 148 VSPs both used a single vertical component Schlumberger Well Seismic Tool 
(WST-A).  These data were converted from the proprietary Schlumberger format to SEGY.  The user 
should consult the Swift et al paper, sr148_25.pdf, and a section of the Leg111 Initial Reports, 
ODP_l111_VSP.pdf, in the docs directory for a discussion of these experiments.

  I have put 4 SEGY files in the SEGY directory.  2 are FK filtered.  One is the stacked data used for that 
and the last is the Leg 111 VSP stacked data.  3 of these files are for the combined Leg 111 and 148 
VSPs.

  All of the SEGY files have shallow traces that may have bad timing for them.  See Stephen, et al, for a 
discussion of these shallow traces.  These traces were included for completeness but should be used after 
further decision making by the user.

  In the directory mat are Matlab mat files and ASCII files that have various combinations of data in 
them.  There are shifts that can be used to align the data for comparison with multichannel lines, if the 
user choses not to do their own picks.  These are included for the user to use as they may see fit.  I do 
not know the stage they are in the processing of the holeÕs data.
