Data product development in collaboration with the research community

IRIS Data Services invites proposals for collaborative data product development. For researchers we offer the opportunity to put forward unique and useful data product ideas and collaborate with the Data Management Center (DMC) in the development of the product. No funding is offered for this collaboration, instead collaborators will be working with the talented Product Specialists at the DMC and with access to resources at the DMC to make your product idea a reality and have it hosted by the DMC. This opportunity is open to all.

The goal of our product development effort is to create data products that complement the raw time series data traditionally managed by the IRIS DMC. Typically derived from raw data, these data products can serve many purposes including as a foundation for future research. The DMC already manages more than a dozen data product types produced by the community and by the DMC. A list of these product types is available at http://ds.iris.edu/ds/products/

Please contact us at product@iris.washington.edu if you would like to work with us to make a new product.

If we agree that a collaboration would be fruitful we will consult the Data Products Working Group (DPWG) to approve the work.
