I was born and raised in Fairbanks, Alaska. I finished a Bachelors degree in Physics at the University of Alaska – Fairbanks and then earned a Masters degree in Geophysics at the University of Wisconsin – Madison. For the past 3 years I have been living in the Netherlands and working at the ORFEUS Data Center, oft-considered to be the European counterpart of the DMC in many ways.
As the USArray Lead Data Control Analyst at the DMC I will be responsible for the flow of USArray data into the DMC archive and data delivery systems. I am looking forward to joining the quirky, err, venerable DMC staff.
I am married to Renate Hartog and we are both looking forward to making Seattle our home. We enjoy outdoor activities and are enthusiastic about the possibilities that Pacific North West has to offer.
