This issue provides details of the new DMC Auxiliary Data Center at LVOC and information about the upcoming Data Services workshop in Colombia.
The DMS Products group describe two new DMS data products: the Missouri S&T shear-wave splitting database and Source time functions in detail and Gale Cox details the inaugural DMC staff retreat held at the Talaris Conference Center here in Seattle on February 27th.
Finally we provide a celebration of Rick Benson’s 20 years of service at the DMC. Rick is very well respected around the globe by members of our community and is known informally as our lead data “wrangler”. His official title is Director of Operations. We took this opportunity to ask members of the seismological community for testimonials for Rick, and the results speak volumes on how valued and beloved he is by all.
