The default JWEED interface shows a global map. From this view you can choose to load events, stations, or both using the drop-down menus at the base of the application. Click the Read Me tab in the top-left for instructions on using JWEED.

Clicking JWEEDs Query for Stations button in the bottom right queries the IRIS DMC station web-service and retrieves all stations. Stations are plotted as red triangles on the global map and also displayed in a selectable table in the lower-right.

Clicking JWEEDs Query for Events button in the bottom left queries the IRIS DMC event web-service and retrieves all events in the last day. Events are plotted as yellow circles on the global map and also displayed in a selectable table in the lower-left.

Clicking on a single event in the table and selecting Plot seismograms in the Get Data drop-down menu creates a new display tab where seismograms are displayed. The Messages box displays system information and the Seismograms box displays a list of all the events that are shown in the main window. In this example, station IU_ANMO vertical channels that recorded data during a magnitude 5.1 event that occurred on May 16th 2013 at 18:27 UTC are displayed.
