Hi Paul-

The GB.ESK problem appears to be related to the fact that we do not
have station metadata stored for this station at the moment. I think
the reason you see it in QUACK is that it is in the real-time data
repository (BUD) for the moment, but this may not be accessible as an
archival dataset. I am going to forward this question as well as the
others for timeseries behavior to our web services team to provide a
more complete response.

I am trying to access data from GB network using webservices
commands, and have come up with a couple of problems

Sometimes webservices return an error stating that data is not
present when the data does appear to be present in BUD

eg http://www.iris.edu/ws/timeseries/query?net=GB&sta=ESK&loc=--&cha=BHZ&start=2011-07-30T18.30.00&duration=3600&output=plot&ref=direct

gives a response of
The Timeseries webservice was unable to find any data for your
request: No data found for:GB,ESK,--,BHZ,
2011-07-30T18:30:00.000,2011-07-30T19:30:00.000

However inspection of data holdings using QUACK shows continuous
data avaialability for the requested time period (see attached plot)

Also I am having problems using demean function on data holdings

http://www.iris.edu/ws/timeseries/query?net=GB&sta=CCA1&loc=--&cha=BHZ&start=2011-07-31T23.38.00&duration=3600&output=plot&ref=direct
produces a plot of data OK

however when I try adding a demean function to this plot
http://www.iris.edu/ws/timeseries/query?net=GB&sta=CCA1&loc=--&cha=BHZ&start=2011-07-31T23.38.00&duration=3600&demean=true&output=plot&ref=direct

the following error is returned

HTTP Error 500: Internal Server Error
