Postdoctoral position in seismology at Yale University
A position as a Postdoctoral Associate is currently open in the Department of Geology and Geophysics at Yale University. The successful applicant will work with Prof. Maureen Long on an NSF-funded project to study seismic anisotropy in the lowermost mantle. A completed Ph.D. in geophysics or a closely related field is required at the time of appointment. Previous experience in computational approaches to seismology is particularly desirable. The position is a full-time, one-year appointment, with opportunity for continuation contingent on funding and performance. The starting date for the position is flexible and may begin as soon as August 2016.
