Good morning Charles,
There have not been any changes made to the irisws-timeseries service besides what is noted in the Revisions log (http://services.iris.edu/irisws/timeseries/docs/1/revisions/)
However, there does appear to be a broad issue with retrieving sacbl format from the service, regardless of whether it’s for old or new data. We will investigate this immediately and work to implement a fix as soon as possible.
Thank you for bringing this to our attention.
Regards,
Robert

Update -
The error has been fixed and the irisws-timeseries service should again be serving SAC data for your requests. We identified the source of the error as being related to the power loss and outage that occurred at the DMC last Saturday evening.
Should you encounter any other issues with the timeseries service, please do not hesitate to send an email to myself and/or the listserve.
Thanks,
Robert
