This upcoming Galileo international workshop on Environmental Seismology
may be of interest to many in the community. See below and the attached
flyer for more details:

Event title: From process to signal – advancing environmental seismology
Event location: Hotel Alpenblick, Ohlstadt, Germany
Event date: 6-9 June 2017

First circular
In this workshop we aim to discuss the current use of seismic techniques in
the
study of the Earth’s surface and the processes that act upon it, a field
that we
collectively refer to as ‘Environmental Seismology’. In a series of keynote
lectures, the state of the art will be surveyed. Presentations by attendees
will
address the breadth and novelties of current research. Individual break-out
groups will discuss pressing scientific issues in small workshops.
We invite all scientists who use seismic techniques to study
geomorphological
processes, the cryosphere, the weather, the shallow subsurface and other
phenomena at or near the Earth’s surface. We also decisively invite all
those
who have realised the potential of seismic techniques and are interested in
linking with the pioneering community or who wish to use seismic approaches
in the future.

For more information, for pre-registration or to be included in future email
alerts, please contact Jens Turowski (turowski<at>gfz-potsdam.de).

Please forward to anyone who might be interested.
