Dear IRIS,
I am trying to use PDCC in order to create a dataless file for a temporary network.
The network had Geosig VE-53 borehole sensors (old type) and Earthdata PR6-24 recorders.
I was able to find the PR6-24 in the NRL database but not the VE-53, is it possible to include it ..?? how can I import in PDCC the VE-53 response..?? is it possible to create a RESP file with stage 1 only and import it .??
The response information for VE-53 I have follows:
A0=628,
Number of Zeroes= 3
Z1=0
Z2=0
Z3=0
Number of Poles=4
P1=-1.317
P2=-606.4
P3=-0.196
P4=-6.45
Gain=1000 V/m/sec
Thanks in advance

Hi Efthimios-
You should expect some followup contact from our Nominal Response Library (NRL) maintainer, Mary, to discuss the particulars of the VE-53 and how we can make the response available to you in PDCC. Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention.

Hi Efthimios,
Thanks for your email - I’ve added the GeoSIG VE-53 sensor to the Nominal
Response Library that PDCC uses. The final response differs a little from the info
you sent. I found the manufacturer’s sheet that includes an additional zero and the
two poles for the low-frequency corner.
In additional to accessing this response through PDCC, it is also found on the
web here:

cheers,
