Has anybody tried getting SAC going on Mac OS X 10.12 Sierra?

I can’t get the X11R6 directory over to /usr which used to do the trick.

Apple has blocked the ability to make any changes to /usr

Thanks,

Steve Taylor

    Hey Steve

    How is life?

    I have a root access set up and I have no problem altering /usr in Sierra.

    I have following links un /usr:
    lrwxr-xr-x 1 root wheel 8 Oct 22 11:02 X11 -> /opt/X11
    lrwxr-xr-x 1 root wheel 8 Oct 22 11:02 X11R6 -> /opt/X11

    And it works for Xquartz and SAC.

    Ciao -John

    Hi Steve,

    i update from Capitan to Sierra and sac works, i have no had problems.
    Already had installed Xquartz.

    X11R6 is used in Solaris (Unix) systems if i not wrong.

    My system (Sierra OSX) only have
    lrwxr-xr-x 1 root wheel 8 Jun 1 06:03 /usr/X11 -> /opt/X11

    Cheers,

    M.

      Hi Milton,

      The problem was that I hadn’t updated XQuartz which did the trick (thanks to Brian Savage suggestion).

      I had a morning of panic that day … a day without SAC is like a day without sunshine.
