Hi,
Could someone please tell me how I could retrieve amplitude at a user
defined time in a SAC file and read it into memory using SETBB? Sounds easy
but I couldn't find a way to do it. MARKVALUE gives you time stamps and not
amplitude.

The "(GETVAL xx)” or “(GETVAL FILE n xx)” built-in function returns this in the version of SAC documented in the SAC book (see Table 5.1).

Thanks George! IRIS version does not seem to have this feature that macSAC
(?) has.
