Dear all,

I was trying to install the latest SAC v101.1 on my 64 bit Ubuntu
system. I got the following error:
-----------------------
checking for C compiler default output file name... a.out
checking whether the C compiler works... configure: error: cannot run C
compiled programs.
If you meant to cross compile, use `--host'.
See `config.log' for more details.
-------------------------
I have the the newest version of gcc.

Anyone has the same problem or knows the solution?

Thanks a lot!

TY

    Dear Ting Yang

To compile on a 64 bit system please check the the Readme.buildsac file
It has instructions for compiling on systems of these types.

The compiler flags need to contain the -m32 flag. The configure
    script should recognize the
system as a 64 bit system and add these automatically.

If you have more trouble, please report it to the sac-dev mailing list.

    Cheers,
    Brian
