Announcing the Visualizing EarthScope Science Challenge (VESS)

Visuals are a highly effective and often creative way to communicate ideas and discoveries with both the public and the broader scientific community. With this competition, the EarthScope National Office aims to highlight and celebrate the most effective, stunning, and stimulating visuals conveying the work of EarthScope scientists. If you have been imagining and drafting your EarthScope results in an aesthetic form, now is the time to share—and win!

Three categories: Illustration, Motion, and Photography

Great prizes: Wacom digital art pad (Illustration), iPad Mini 2 (Motion), Fujifilm Instax Mini 90 instant camera (Photography), and more!

Winners will be determined by public vote and disseminated through social media, so keep your audience in mind!

Contest winners will be announced in May at the opening of the EarthScope National Meeting (no need to be present to win).
