Speaker: Dr. Weston Thelen, USGS Cascade Volcano Observatory

Abstract: Kilauea has long been a target of study because of its high rates of volcanic activity and long history of monitoring. We look at different seismic signatures of magma movement at different places in the upper mantle and crust under Kilauea Volcano. This includes tremor at depths greater than 50 km, repeating earthquakes in the conduit at 3 km depth and seismically derived tilt signals near the surface of the lava lake.

After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the webinar. NOTE: Registration does not confirm or guarantee you will have a spot during the webinar, as we are limited to 100 participants.
