The USGS has just published a new blueprint for advancing science and
resilience related to subduction zone hazards, entitled *Reducing Risk
Where Tectonic Plates Collide – A Plan to Advance Subduction Zone Science

how the USGS may leverage scientific and technologic developments, address
its stakeholder needs, and maximize capabilities through partnerships –
with the overall goal of reducing the risks posed by subduction zone
