Abstract submission and registration deadlines fast approaching. Abstract
submission closes September 17th for the 2017 Annual Meeting of the Eastern
Section of the Seismological Society of America

The early-bird registration discount has been extended until September 17th.

Discounted room rates ($119/night) are offered on a first-come,
first-served basis and are nearly at capacity, so reserve your hotel room
before it is too late.

The meeting takes place in North Norman, which is easily accessible from
Will Rogers Airport in Oklahoma City.

Activities include:

-A field trip on October 8 that will be a tour of the structural geology
and stratigraphy of the Arbuckle Group, as it is exposed in south-central
Oklahoma. We will also include a stop at the Oklahoma Geological Survey's
core facility to view Arbuckle and basement rocks that have been previously
cored.

-Special sessions on induced seismicity, outcomes from local/regional dense
geophysical arrays, characterizations of faults and structure, local and
regional seismicity characterizations, site response/ground motion
predictions, hazard characterizations, and other seismological topics of
interested to the central and eastern United States.

-A Monday night banquet dinner with Oklahoma Secretary of Energy and the
Environment Michael Teague as the keynote speaker.
