Dear All,

In signal stacking sub-process (SSS), by default the record section is plotted with distance. I want to plot the record section with another variable like azimuth.
Is there any provision to do it in SSS.

I will appreciate any help and suggestion.

Thanking you,

Regards,

    Hi Sunil,
My understanding is that the YAXIS is fixed to distance. Perhaps a work
around is to change your GCARC header values to those of the azimuth for
    display purposes ONLY.

When we've done stuff like this, we often will add values to
each seismogram and plot using p2 rather than trying to fool
SSS. Kludgy but workable. Plot record section has (last I
checked) some bugs in any event.

      Dear All -

Here’s the answer that I gave Sunil (copied to the list, this time):

      Dear Sunil -

The ADDSTACK and CHANGESTACK commands let you set the DISTANCE quantity to whatever value you want, like azimuth. This is the value used for plotting. See chapter 8 in the SAC book for more details.

You can change the plot label in PLOTRECORDSECTION to describe the plotting variable properly.
