Thread: Windows Cygwin or Linux Ubuntu environment

Dear SAC users and experts,



I used SAC and GMT for years on Unix Solaris for years. But, now I don't
have the same OS (Unix Solaris).

So, I want to create a new environment for my bash and shell programs code
that I have already established before.

Which is easier and problem free of bugs. Creating a Linux environment
(Ubuntu) or working under windows with Cygwin.

Does my bash and shell programs code that I have created before will work
will on windows Cygwin or Ubuntu Linux environment?
