Two postdoctoral opportunities at Harvard University.

1) The Harvard University Center for the Environment (HUCE, http://environment.harvard.edu ) is accepting applications to the HUCE postdoctoral fellowship (http://environment.harvard.edu/environmental-fellows-program). The scope of the 2-year fellowship is to promote research advances addressing environmental issues. The HUCE fellow join will join a class of 6. The fellowship provides a generous stipend ($66,000) and annual research and travel allowance ($2,500). The deadline to apply is January 17th, 2018. Applicants who are interested in exploring the interplay between hydrology (surface and ground water) and seismology (structural imaging or source processes) using theoretical, numerical, or observational approaches are encouraged to apply and to contact Marine Denolle (mdenolle<at>fas.harvard.edu)

2) The Harvard Earthquake Seismology group is opening a postdoctoral position in the broad fields of seismology, hydrogeology, and solid-fluid geomechanics to address the temporal and spatial evolution of seismic hazards in urban sedimentary basins. We particularly welcome applicants who take either or both theoretical, numerical and/or observational approaches. Submit a CV, list of relevant publications, a statement of research interests (1 or 2 pages) to Marine Denolle (mdenolle<at>fas.harvard.edu ). Applications will be reviewed starting January 15th, 2018 and will remain open until position will be filled.
