School of earth and Space Sciences (SESS) at Peking University invites applications for the position of Boya, Boxin and Earth & Space Science postdoctoral fellowships. Around 12 positions are available in the whole school, which provides good opportunities for outstanding early-career earth scientists. Research areas within SESS encompass solid-earth geophysics, space sciences, geology, geochemistry, remote sensing, and geography information system (GIS).
Incoming Fellows will receive an annual stipend of no less than 200,000 RMB per year with health benefits included. Details of salary depend on types of fellowships. Post-doc housing or renting compensation are provided. Research funding is provided by the mentor in SESS. Thus, contact with no less than one mentor before application is strongly encouraged. Appointments will be for two years and shall commence on or around July 2018.
Applicants should be less than 35 years old and have a Ph.D. in a relevant field within 3 years by the time of appointment and a promising record of research and publication. A CV, list of publications, a one-page description of thesis research, a two- to three-page statement of the research you propose to conduct during the postdoctoral fellowship, and three letters of recommendation by those familiar with your work should be submitted.
