Saint Louis University, a Catholic, Jesuit Institution dedicated to student learning, research, health care, and service is seeking applicants for a postdoctoral position in earthquake seismology in the Department of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences.  The successful candidate will work with Dr. Linda Warren to study the Cauca Cluster of intermediate-depth earthquakes beneath Colombia.  The Cauca cluster earthquakes will be characterized by precisely relocating the earthquakes, inverting waveforms to compute focal mechanisms, and estimating static and dynamic source properties, so experience with some or all of these methods would be advantageous.  The project includes travel to Colombia.

A Ph.D. in seismology or related field is required by the starting date of employment.  The position is available for two years contingent upon satisfactory annual reviews.  The anticipated starting date is August 1, 2018, but is flexible.  To apply, send a cover letter with a statement of research experience and interests, curriculum vitae, and contact information for three references to Dr. Warren at linda.warren<at>slu.edu.  Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled.

Saint Louis University is an Affirmative Action/Equal Opportunity Employer (AA/EOE), and encourages nominations of and applications from women and minorities.
