to whom I respect the manager or others responsible for IRIS Wilber
I am a student from the University of Lambung Mangkurat Indonesia, Faculty
of Science of physics.
I am doing seismology research for college final assignments or thesis and
I need seismogram data from Wilber IRIS, but since the past few weeks,
Wilber has become difficult to access, I have to load data long enough and
often fail with a message "Error: The request timed out ", sometimes I
also succeed in loading event data, but when I change datasets, the data
doesn't appear. I have tried to access using a different laptop or PC and a
fast internet connection, but the results are often error. here I attach
some screen photos. I really need a solution from you, because I have to
complete the research in August 2018.
for your attention, thank you very much.

Hello Muhammed,
This looks like something is slowing down the network connection.
A few things that might help:
- On the first page (Select Event), use "Custom Query" and make a more tightly-targeted request. This is slower in various ways but it can greatly limit (or enormously expand!) the amount of data sent over the network.
- On the second page (Select Stations) it looks like the script itself didn't get loaded. I'll look at this.
I think reloading the page in your browser might also help for problems like these -- the parts that would clog up a network are mostly big chunks of data that also take the most time to generate. But these get cached, so they tend to be much faster if they're requested again.
Cheers,
Adam
