Greetings,
Do anybody know how to convert a sac file into ascii format.
I'm doing a thesis research in cross-correlation of seismic noise , and I
want to use several inputs in ascii, while my noise data are in sac
format.
Can anyone help me?

Dear Harry,
Use the CONVERT function (which can be run within a macro if necessary).
Details can be found in the SAC Manual at
http://www.iris.edu/manuals/sac/manual.html.

Working with cross-corralation functions I used command WRITE ALPHA for getting ascii file. To open such ascii file in SAC it is possible with command READ ALPHA.
