Thread: Vacancy - Computer Programmer / IT Specialist at SRC, Trinidad

The Seismic Research Centre of The University of the West Indies, Trinidad and Tobago, has a vacancy for a Computer Programmer / IT Specialist.

The successful candidate must possess a first degree with a major in Mathematics and/or Computer
Sciences. A postgraduate degree in Computer Science would be an asset.

Candidates should preferably have experience in one or more of the following areas:
• Scripting using Perl or similar language
• Web development
• Microsoft Operating Systems, including Windows 98, 2000 and XP
• Unix or Linux Operating Systems
• Computer Networking
• Design of database programming in, for example, SQL. MySQL or Oracle
