Dear Colleagues,
We would like to draw your attention to the following session at the Asia Oceania Geosciences Society 17th Annual Meeting (AOGS, June 28-July 4, 2020) in South Korea (http://www.asiaoceania.org/aogs2020/public.asp?page=home.html). The abstract submission deadline is Jan. 21, 2020.

SE19: Interdisciplinary Investigations of Seismic Anisotropy Beneath Asia Oceania Region
Seismic anisotropy is a common feature of the Earth's interior, ranging from the upper crust to the inner core. Reliably quantifying and interpreting seismic radial and azimuthal anisotropy are essential for understanding the structure and dynamics of various layers inside the Earth. This session welcomes contributions on anisotropy measurements using shear wave splitting, receiver function, and surface wave and body wave tomography on local and regional scales beneath the Asia and Oceania region. Additionally contributions on geodynamic modelling and laboratory experiments for better defining anisotropic properties under different physical and petrological conditions are encouraged.
Conveners: Kelly Liu (liukh<at>mst.edu), Yuan Gao, Young-Hee Kim, Haemyeong Jung, and Stephen Gao
