As part of the ongoing Rapid Response to Geohazards initiative, IRIS is pleased to announce the release of a rapid response white paper draft.

Over the past year and a half, IRIS has convened several gatherings (in-person and online) to solicit feedback from the community on their observational needs related to rapid response science. We have now synthesized the feedback we have received into a community white paper that summarizes the current state of rapid response science, outlines observational needs and capabilities, and makes recommendations for use of existing procurement funds.

You can download a copy of the white paper draft at this link:

IRIS is actively seeking community input on the current white paper draft. Those interested may share input on the white paper via email to Justin Sweet (justin.sweet<at>iris.edu). Feedback received by September 15th is appreciated, and we anticipate release of a final draft of the white paper later this fall.
