Hello:

I wish to obtain historical data in the period Oct 2015 - July 2017 in Colorado.

According to the Metadata Aggregator, and the IRIS Network and Stations map, some of the locations of the Raspberry Shake AM network should have relevant data.

However, when I try a BREQ_FAST request, or check the availability online using IRIS, the data are totally missing.

Network: AM
Station: R71EC
Start: 2016-12-20T19:37:29 (355)
End: 2599-12-31T23:59:59 (365)
No data at all are available using BREQ_FAST
SWARM can download data starting 7-1-2017

Network: AM
Station: RCAB1
Start: 2017-01-25T17:59:54 (025)
End: 2019-04-22T20:13:18 (112)
No data at all are available using BREQ_FAST
No data at all are available using Swarm

In one case above, a fraction of the data are accessible using SWARM and
http://service.iris.edu/fdsnws/dataselect/1/query
http://service.iris.edu/fdsnws/station/1/query

It would really be very useful if these data were available and I would be grateful if you could establish their existence and accessibility.

Thank you!

Ben

    Hi Benjamin,

The information in MDA and other tools represents the period during which a station/instrument was officially in operation, and doesn't represent actual data availability.

Especially for community networks like Raspberry Shake, there may be significant outages in the actual data. The availability services are the best way to validate what's there and what's not.

    Cheers,
    Adam
