Hi sac users,
In the deconvolution procedure to recover ground velocity or displacement, I have observed in several records for the 1997-11-28 Bolivia earthquake that a new frequency is introduced at the beginning of the seismogram. This is very confusing because the character of the first arrival seems changed. As an example, the case of station SJG is attached.
Could you tell me the reason and how to solve it?
Thank you very much
Regards

Hi Carmen,
You haven't told us how you are deconcolving your instrument response. What
options are you using? EVALRESP/POLEZERO, FREQlimits etc. You can most
certainly solve this issue by adjusting FREQlimits (f1,f2,f3,f4).
