Job responsibilities include:

Synthesizing geophysical observations to model and describe seismic sources and the earthquake process;
Developing innovative, sophisticated computer algorithms and/or models that advance existing methods of defining earthquake source parameters and associated seismotectonics;
Performing rapid characterization and documentation of significant global earthquakes; and,
Leading in the response to damaging or catastrophic earthquakes at the National Earthquake Information Center (NEIC).
