Dear all,

We have a postdoc opportunity at the University of Oxford to work on the
mechanics of slow earthquakes, mostly from a modelling perspective, with
about 9 months of funding from a NERC project. We've gotten some
interesting seismic and geodetic observations as part of this project, and
the goal of this postdoc will be largely to analyse some of the
observations and to see how and if some models of slow earthquakes can
match these and other data.

The postdoc will join a group with researchers working on tremor, creep
events, and earthquakes generally and will be part of an Earth Sciences
department with researchers with broad expertise in seismology and
geophysics. For more information, please see the link below, and please
get in touch with Jessica Hawthorne at jessica.hawthorne<at>earth.ox.ac.uk if
you're thinking of applying. The application deadline is the 24th of
August at 12pm.
