A research position in seismology is available in the Department of Geoscience at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, with a preferred start date between September 1 and November 1, 2021. The position is a full-time, 1-year appointment as a Post-Doctoral Research Associate, with the opportunity of continuation for a second year. The successful applicant will be able to participate in several on-going projects, involving microearthquake analysis for a geothermal site, joint seismic tomography and wavefield simulation applied to areas of California, and analysis of distributed acoustic sensing array data. The expected starting salary is in the range $51,000 to $54,000, depending on qualifications and experience. The position is most appropriate for candidates not more than 2 years past the Ph.D. Completion of all Ph.D. requirements is necessary at the time of appointment.
