TexNet is hiring a Field Operations Lead and a Seismologist Field Engineer.

Location: Pickle Research Campus, North Austin, Texas

**Field Operations Lead**

Responsibilities:
Lead field operations.
Field maintenance of existing seismological stations and installation of future stations.
Provide results and present in our stakeholder groups and conferences.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree with 6 years' experience or Master's degree with 4 years' experience in geophysics, physics, electrical engineering, earth science, or related field. Hands on experience in field operations, preferably on seismic or any geophysical equipment. Demonstrated ability to work effectively in groups and independently, sometimes in demanding conditions. Ability to work with complex datasets and to disseminate results of research projects to professional peers. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to meet deadlines and deliverables. Professional demeanor and excellent interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to lead a team.

Preferred Qualifications:
More than the required years of experience, with specific background and hands-on experience in geophysical equipment and real time operations. Willingness and ability to adapt to changing research programs and project needs. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Salary Range:
$70,000 + depending on qualifications

**Seismologist Field Engineer**

Responsibilities:
Field maintenance of existing seismological stations and installation of future stations.
To work on establishing earthquake locations.
Provide results and present in our stakeholder groups and conferences.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree with 4 years' experience or Master's degree with 2 years' experience in geophysics, physics, electrical engineering, earth science, or related field. Hands on experience in field operations, preferably on using/deploying any industrial equipment. Demonstrated ability to work effectively in groups and independently, sometimes in demanding conditions. Ability to manage complex systems. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to meet deadlines and deliverables. Professional demeanor and excellent interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
More than the required years of experience, with specific background and hands-on experience with geophysical equipment and earthquake location software (e.g., SeisComP, Antelope, Seisan, Earthworm). Willingness and ability to adapt to changing research programs and project needs. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Salary Range:
$62,000 + depending on qualifications
