Dear Sir or Madam,

Thanks for reading my email.

I’m doing the research about outer core and want to download waveform data for large deep earthquake. I’m using Obspy mass_downloader: https://docs.obspy.org/packages/autogen/obspy.clients.fdsn.mass_downloader.html
I met some troubles.
There are lot of response information not accessible by mass_downloader nor obspy.fdsn.get_stations. but accessible on IRIS website or

Take TA.Z35A for example:

Here is the error when I use mass_downloader

here is the result by obsopy.get_stations()

And here is what I get from website:

http://service.iris.edu/irisws/resp/1/query?net=TA&sta=Z35A&loc=*&cha=B??&starttime=2010-02-18T00:00:00&endtime=2010-02-19T00:00:00 http://service.iris.edu/irisws/resp/1/query?net=TA&sta=Z35A&loc=*&cha=B??&starttime=2010-02-18T00:00:00&endtime=2010-02-19T00:00:00>

Could you please help figure it out. Or could you please tell me some efficient way to get large amount of response data?

Really appreciate for your help.

  • Dear sir or madam,

    Thanks for reading my email.

My previous email may be confusing, I just want to know if there are some efficient way to download waveform data for events from all FDSN stations?

I tried "Obspy massdownloader" and “Obspy fdsn" packages. "Obspy massdownloader" skips a lot of stations including most of USArray stations(TA*) because their inventory files (*.xml) are not accessible. “Obspy fdsn” can only download waveform and inventory but not include instrument response information. Details are in my first email.

    Looking forward to your reply.
    Thanks!
