The Observational Seismology group in the Department of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences, Indiana University Bloomington invites applicants for two PhD or MSc positions in seismology with a focus on seismicity and structure of active tectonic plate boundaries. Applications with a broad interest in marine seismology, earthquake physics, and passive seismic imaging are encouraged to apply. Skills in data analysis and programming are strongly preferred.
Applicants are encouraged to contact Dr. Jianhua Gong (gongjian<at>iu.edu) before applying. The deadline for application is December 1st, 2022 for international students and Jan 6th, 2023 for domestic students. GRE is not required.
