Thread: Network seismologist at the University of Helsinki

The Institute of Seismology at the University of Helsinki invites
applications for a permanent position as a seismologist starting from
March 2023 or as agreed. The Institute of Seismology performs research,
education, continuous Earth monitoring, and helps government and private
organisations in their projects requiring seismological expertise. The
institute is responsible for seismic monitoring in Finland and for
providing seismic waveform and earthquake data products to international
seismological datacentres. The focus of the position is to lead the
seismological observatory practice of the Finnish National Seismic
Network and to conduct research in earthquake seismology. The candidate
is expected to oversee the modernization of the institute’s
seismological analysis and to develop and maintain a scalable analysis
workflow on the Unix/Linux computing platform in collaboration with the
Institute's technical team. The deadline for the application is 10
