We have fully funded positions for motivated PhD/MS students or a postdoctoral scholar at the School of Geosciences of the University of Oklahoma. For students, the deadline for applying to our graduate program is January 1, 2023. The postdoctoral position is open until filled and will be funded for one year with possible renewal.
The main research projects are follows, with partial support from NSF and NASA grants.
(1) Numerical modeling of fracture, rupture, and deformation of fault zones (PhD student or postdoc scholar). Collaboration with rock mechanics experimentalists in the department.
(2) Geophysical imaging of transient deformation and microseismicity in crustal faults and geo-reservoirs (MS or PhD student).
(3) Characterizing deformational and environmental processes with multi-temporal remote sensing (SAR/InSAR) data (MS or PhD student). Collaboration with researchers at the Oklahoma Geological Survey.
