Dear Colleagues,
We would like to remind you about the inter-association symposium Cryoseismology (JS01, https://www.iugg2023berlin.org/922-2/#IASPEI ), to be held during the 28th general Assembly of the International Union of Geodesy and Geophysics in Berlin, July 11-20, 2023 (https://www.iugg2023berlin.org/ ). The abstract submission deadline is approaching: February 14, 2023. We welcome both oral and poster contributions. We are happy to announce that Fabian Walter is confirmed as solicited speaker. For your convenience, below is a shortened session description:
In this joint symposium between IASPEI, IACS and IAG, we invite submissions which cover the full gamut of "cryoseismology". We encourage contributions treating the observation and modeling of seismic signals involving dynamics of ice sheets, sea ice, icebergs and glaciers, as well as changes to the thermal and physical structure of permafrost and snow. We invite submissions on case studies, development of survey techniques, advances in the processing, integration with other geophysical methods or in-situ observations, as well as new technologies such as distributed acoustic sensing (DAS) with fiber optics.
We are looking forward to meeting you during the Assembly.
Kind regards,
Andreas Köhler
Alex Brisbourne
Masaki Kanao
Bernd Kulessa
Mirko Scheinert
