Hello,
I recently obtained phase picks from Wilber for several small events in 2016 and 2017. I am exclusively using the USGS experimental debris flow flume networks ZK (2016) and YV (2017). Oftentimes the picks don't seem to line up with any clear signal, so I was wondering if they were manually picked or auto-generated from a regional velocity model. I cannot find any information about the source of the picks on Wilber and can't imagine somebody went through and manually picked all of these events on these experimental networks. Is there any way to get more information about the source of the picks? Here is an example event that I'm looking at which uses the ZK network https://ds.iris.edu/wilber3/find_stations/9369790.
Thank you,

Hello Brad,
These phase picks are based on theoretical travel times, generated by the
TauP library: http://www.seis.sc.edu/TauP/
These may not match local conditions, but should not be too far off. It's
more common that the signal at a particular location isn't distinct enough
to be distinguished above the noise.
Cheers,
Adam
