Announcements and discussion related to establishing a facility for MT instruments at the PASSCAL Instrument Center. This includes identifying desired capabilities for new instrumentation, testing and procuring hardware, defining “dirt to desktop” data flows, evaluating software and data format needs, and developing support to familiarize users with MT instrumentation and data processing.

An international collaboration led by the Incorporated Research
Institutions for Seismology (IRIS) and the U.S. Geological Survey has
developed MTH5, a hierarchical data format (HDF5) with a comprehensive
metadata standards for MT time series data. MTH5 allows an entire MT
