Active Message Threads for August 2022
Hi Philip,
This appears to be an issue with Station Services since it should return the assigned “0” Azimuth value. This has been duly noted and will probably end up in the next maintenance to be performed on Station Services sometime in the future.
Thanks again for bringing this to our attention and please do not hesitate to report anymore anomolies you run across.
Cheers,
—Un

Hi
The stationxml metadata for WY.YDD.01.BHZ is missing the <azimuth> element.
http://service.iris.edu/fdsnws/station/1/query?net=WY&sta=YDD&cha=BHZ&level=channel&format=xml&includecomments=true&nodata=404
While technically the <azimuth> element is not required in stationxml, it
is a little weird to have <dip> but not <azimuth>, especially for a seismic
channel like BHZ.
Thought you might be able to pass this on to the network operators.
thanks
Philip
