Every day there are more 64 bits PC. The SAC program is one of the more robust software because it works well in several plaforms. However, it was compiled for 32 bits PCs. Now I got a 64 bits AMD Athlon PC with a linux FC5, and started to have some problems, not with SAC but with my programs that use sacio.a library.
