Oops my apologies. Setmacro didn't work for me on a very old version,
0.56a. I hadn't used it on v100. It works fine in v100. Leah what
version are you using?

Hi everyone,
I am running the following deconvolution to remove the station
response from a record and transform it into a pure velocity record
in order to compare it with synthetics:
trans from evalresp fname 021294B/RESP/RESP.TS.PAS..BHZ to vel freq
0.001 0.002 1.0 2.0
Using response from user-specified file: (021294B/RESP/
RESP.TS.PAS..BHZ).
Extracting evresp response for PAS, BHZ...
Station (PAS ), Channel (BHZ )
Calper is not available. Cannot tell if response i…

I also found the setmacro command did not work. However I do know where
SAC looks for the macros so I just put them in there myself. The only
difference in this directory location for you would be the first two
directories in my location. So mine looks like this
/home/sacv100/sac/aux/macros. Put the macros in the macros directory and
make sure they are executable. Also just typing m is shorthand for
macro. Saves a few key strokes.
HTH,
Megan

Re: MACRO - Brian Savage - 2006-06-16 21:32:59
Sac-help,
I made a small MACRO file using TextEdit. I put this into my directory
that has saved my practice problems when using SAC (/usr/local/bin). I
saved this small MACRO file as practice. In SAC I typed:
SAC>MACRO practice
It then says that the MACRO file is not found. I tried the SETMACRO
command but was given the same thing. Does anyone know what I'm doing
wrong?
Thanks for your help,
Leah
Hello, everyone. I'm a long-time user, first time poster:-)
I've looked in the documentation and can't find the answer to this question:
I'm getting tired of hitting "qdp off" every time if fire up sac2000. Is there
such thing as a file that loads when sac starts, like a .cshrc or .exrc file,
that can automatically execute commands?
Thanks for your time.
Best,

Dear sac-help,
Does a version of the utility program "saclst" exist that works on
macs? (I know that there is one that works for unix, and I've tried
copying the binaries over to a mac, but of course this doesn't work.)
Thank you,
Georgia Cua

Sac-help,
How do you use the READ command for a folder of 400 sac files? I tried
the READ command with just one sac file and got an error:
SAC> READ 10014637.CI.CLC.BHE.sac
Error 1418: Header in disk file is out of date: 10014637.CI.CLC.BHE.sac
Header version number is incorrect.
I got this sac file from the STP site last week.
Thanks for your help,
Leah

Sac-help,
I recently downloaded SAC for my Mac. This is my first time using SAC.
I've been reading the SAC manual on the web and going through the
examples. When I type PLOT, nothing happens. There isn't an error
message or a blank window that appears, nothing. Do you know why it's not
working?
Thanks for your help!
Leah
