Attempting to compile sac-101.5c using gcc version i686-apple-darwin11-llvm-gcc-4.2 under Macos 10.7,3,
I get a series of compiler errors stemming from the following code in hdr.h
I want to compile this so I can run SAC under the debugger to track down problems.
gcc -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -I. -I../inc -I../inc -I../libedit/include -DDOINITS -c ./dff/hdrfld.c -o dff/hdrfld_io.o

Dear sac users,
I hope you all would be doing fine. I have sac headers of S-wave receiver
functions but I want to reverse the time axis of these headers so that it
will look like as P-wave receiver functions to compare. Can anybody tell me
how to do it ?
Your help will highly be appreciated.
Thanks,
Regards,
Mohit Agrawal

Dear all,
I want to pick a waveform file using hypo format. but sac does not write the pick times to the file.
I give the following commands
> r a.sac
> ohpf pickfile
> ppk p 3
(I picked P and S times)
(q for quit)
> wh
> chpf
the pick file contains only one line with number "10"
Do you have an idea?
best regards

Hi all,
I 've been using broadband data from IRIS on research and recently
encounter a confusing thing about response.
I am using the BH* channels of network AZ, and it should be velocity data.
I downloaded sac files from SCEC stp.
I originally request response file in SEED format, then extracted it to be
RESP.AZ.XXX..BHX, the response file.
Recently, because I want to confirm the amplitudes in velocity and also in
displacement is correct, I went to IRIS SeismiQuery to get the response
file…

Hello List,
We have just attempted to run sac-101.5c-linux_x86_64 on a machine running 64-bit SuSE Linux Enterprise Desktop 10.3, and are immediately greeted with a floating point exception.
A previous 32 bit version of SAC ran ok on this machine.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

sac helpers please help me
I have two questions:
1) why is the behavior of the commands 'p1 rel' and 'ppk rel' different? I can line up waveforms on a pick nicely using 'p1 rel', but when I use 'ppk rel', the same waves align on something different, on b I think. I found a previous post about this same issue back on July 5, 2006, but could not find a response to it. I want to make picks after aligning the waves on another pick.
2) I recently installed 101.5c and now my default xwindow si…
