My name is Hamdi ALKAN from Yüzüncü Yıl University, Van, Turkey. I want to
compile sac 101.6a. My pc has ubuntu 14.04 (Linux halkan65-VirtualBox
3.13.0-45-generic #74-Ubuntu SMP Tue Jan 13 19:37:48 UTC 2015 i686 i686
i686 GNU/Linux)
First, start ./configure
I take below Compilation Options. But I have matlabr2009a.
Afterthat, i run the options ./make for creating SAC executable. So, I
have taken some errors as error: ‘ED_UNASSIGNED’.
What is mean this error and how can I solve this problem?

Hi Everyone,
*Aim is : Cut the trace in given window and apply taper . recover original
trace*
*again but difference is now trace is zero outside the cutting window
without loss any header.*
1) Cut a trace as given window and save without loss of any header
information.
(problem is loss headers)
2) Then add a zeros trace have exact length of original trace in above cut
trace.
Any help or shortcut is very helpful.

Dear All -
In the nonce, this will also work. It is a macro to do a pick with attached quality and transfer it to another of the Tn variables. Always uses the P pick but saves/restores info around it.
SAC> sc cat /tmp/pick.m
* Macro to make a quality-coded and directional pick and to transfer it to
* t0-t9
*
* usage: m pick t[0-9]
setbb sva "&1,a&" svka "&1,ka&"
message "Make pick using P; result will be transferred to $1$"
ppk
ch $1$ "&1,a&" k$1$ "&1,ka&"
ch A "%sva%" KA "%svka%"
unsetbb…

Hi,
I felt sure that SAC used to let the user using ppk specify a quality to a pick on the T1-T9 variables by first typing the quality etc. and then the pick number, e.g., typing u2it3 would make the variable t3 have the time of the phase where the cursor was, and the variable Kt3 would have "U2I" in it.
However, now we've been using SAC 101.6 and it doesn't seem to work that way any more. Now the time is still properly entered into t3, but the label is put into the Amarker no matter what e…

Hi,
Does anyone know if you have to use separate PZs files when you are
deconvolving the instrument from BH? data versus HH? data? if the gain
remains the same, can we use the same PZs file by manually changing the
channel code? Is the assumption that the normalization factor remains the
same going from BH? to HH? accurate?
Many thanks !
