Active Message Threads for August 2017
This is is a follow-up of my email earlier this year in March 2017
regarding the above subject matter.
I have successfully compiled and ran all STF library files apart from the
attached one. Other than this one file, all the other files are working
well.
Any assistance regarding compiling and running the attached file is highly
appreciated.
Regards,
Josphat

Hello,
I am using the ver 101.6a on Linux 64 bit.
While displaying a long time series (4 days, 100 sps file in my case), I
noticed that SAC cannot display the data properly in the second half of the
file. It seems there is not enough precision on the x axis to handle the
time.
How do I correctly display the data? Please see the screenshots attached. I
am comparing the same data obtained from different sources which can be
ignored. Both time series display the same problems.
Thank you,
Igor

I am using SEISMIC ANALYSIS CODE [06/12/2013 (Version 101.6)] on ubuntu 14.04 LTS, Recently I just used "picks on" option in order to get picks of time arrival every time I read and plot. But now this option is always on and every time I have to use "picks off" if I do not need it. In greater details the default option is always "picks on". now I want to know how can I change its default.

Léa,
The data you are using is too long for the spectrogram command in 101.6a. This will be fixed in the next version.
A quick fix is to reduce the size of your data by either
- windowing you data or
- downsampling your data (decimate 3)
The data you are trying to take the spectrogram of is very long. It is long enough that the spectrogram function overflows the size of an integer (INT_MAX = 2147483647) while trying to determine the size of the spectrogram, as such it produces undefined …

Helo,
I’d like to know how I could solve my problem. I have the message : Segmentation fault (core dumped) when I’m using the function SPECTROGRAM.
Thank you in advance for your reply

Hi,
I am running SAC Version 101.6a on my Mac OS X 10.11.6.
I am having problem with the LINE FILL option inside the Signal Stacking Subprocess (SSS). It runs fine outside SSS, but inside SSS the FILL does not work. It does not give an error message and seems to execute without a problem, but using the PlotRecordSection (PRS) command, the lines are not filled in.
Any suggestions?
Sharon Kedar
