Dear all, I am using sac since about 2 months and need help in writing events parameters into sac headers as the following details: I have more than 400 events as sac files, and a text file containing events parameters" evla, evlo, evdp, mag" . I am trying to find a macro or shell script in any language to read these parameters from file and insert them in sac file's header. Hi SAC users, I have a somewhat stupid question about integration in SAC. SAC provides two methods to do integration: time-domain (int) and frequency-domain (divomega). "int" uses the trapezoidal method and the first data point in the integrated time-series is assumed to be zero. "divomega" uses the Fourier transform properties integral=IFFT[ FFT[ x(t )] / i w ], in which w is angular frequency and x(t) is time series. Is this method making any assumptions ? What happens at the first frequency … [more]

I have downloaded data in PASSCAL SEGY format, one file per channel. However, when I try to read in one of the files with the command 'read SEGY {filename}, , I receive an error message "ERROR 1340: data points outside allowed range contained in file {file name}". What does this mean and how do I read this data in? Douglas R.
