Hi. If I want to request continuous data via the web services, is there an optimal block size (i.e., ~1 day) to request at a time? I overheard a bit of conversation on this at AGU, but didn't get the complete story. Thanks! -- John

Hi. When requesting data using the bulkdataselect service, I occasionally get a defective miniseed volume back. A sample is attached. (does this mail list allow attachments?). ObsPy fails to read it, and running mseed2sac on it gives me several error messages like "IU_NWAO__BHE_M: Warning: Data integrity check for Steim-1 failed, last_data=2192, xn=-2165" -- John

Hello web service users, The web services at http://www.iris.edu/ws/ will be offline during database maintenance at the IRIS DMC. The services will be shut down sometime soon, likely within the next 3-4 hours. It is unknown how long the database and services will be unreachable, another message will be sent when they are back online. thank you for your patience, DMC service team

Dear IRIS webservices list members, Can anyone tell me in what units the distance output of Distaz is? I doesn't seem to be specified on the services' page. Thanks. Best regards, Oliver Henriot
